Community Services Scholarship Program: Future Scholars Component

The Community Service Scholarship Program (CSSP) began in the summer of 1990 when the Radin Foundation, led by Marjorie and H. Marc Radin, provided funds to financially assist California State University, Fresno students who were placed with nonprofit agencies throughout the Fresno area.  Due to the Radin’s generosity, the Program continues today.

Assignments in the CSSP are structured to relate to a student’s academic major. In order to provide enough time for a “real world” experience, each student performs an assignment of 150 hours with his or her agency.  Upon completion of their assignments, students earn 3 units of academic credit and a $1,500 scholarship.

If you are interested in reviewing current positions in this Program, go online to BulldogJobs.com, register if you have not done so yet or log-in and search "Paid Internships". Positions are also posted on MonsterTRAK.com. Once you register or log-in, just click on “Jobs and Internships,” and search these positions by selecting “Co-op” under Job Type and “California” under Job Location.

Remember to make an appointment with Aleta Wolfe, Career Experience Counselor in Career Services, Joyal 256, (559) 278-2381 upon hire to complete necessary paperwork and discuss requirements.
